Woongjin Group's business division (Woongjin IT) participated in CES 2025, the world's largest consumer electronics and information technology (IT) exhibition, and impressed global buyers. After dominating the domestic market with two independently developed solutions, it seems that it is now turning its attention to overseas markets.

Woongjin IT, which opened a booth at LVCC North Hall in Las Vegas, Nevada on the 8th (local time), brought Woongjin Digital Mobility Solution (WDMS) and Woongjin Rental Sales Management Solution (WRMS) to CES. All of them are Woongjin IT's own development solutions, with a domestic standard market share of nearly 100%.

WDMS is a product that improves business efficiency of global mobility operators. It covers the process of selling cars or motorcycles to customers and completing consignment, as well as follow-up management areas from maintenance and feedback. Since it implements a customized user environment, it is possible to apply the solution even if it is not a mobility company. Currently, supply contracts are signed with major domestic automakers, BMW Korea, Volkswagen Group Korea, and Jaguar Land Rover Korea.

WRMS is a solution that incorporates the know-how of Woongjin Group, which actively conducted rental business in the past. It standardized procedures essential for the management of all borrowed items such as water purifiers, mattresses, and medical devices. Its strength is close management throughout the rental business, including purchase, logistics, reception, and fees, as well as the most important sales. It has monopolized the Korean and Malaysian markets as the only solution in the world.

Woongjin IT's goal is to expand its global business. In particular, it is aiming to enter the U.S. market, where dealers have a great influence with WDMS. To this end, we plan to incorporate AI into our flagship products. It plans to develop solutions by focusing on the characteristics of sellers and consumers by country.

Woongjin IT is also determined to do this. At this CES, Lee Soo-young, CEO of Woongjin Business Division, directly responded to visitors. Woongjin Group Chairman Yoon Seok-geum also visited Woongjin ThinkBig and Woongjin IT exhibition halls with affiliate officials. I checked the booth situation and heard the product description from the management. There was also encouragement for executives and employees.

CEO Lee said, "We are targeting the U.S. market largely. Although there are systems from other countries, I think Woongjin IT's high-quality data is very competitive, he said. "The function is perfect, but the price is low, so we are moving toward increasing the accessibility of customers." We will make a solution that we cannot help but use," he stressed.

Woongjin IT grew into the volume of affiliates within Woongjin Group at the beginning of its establishment, but it has steadily grown in size and has now become an IT solution and consulting company with more than 80% of external customers. Last year, it recorded its highest annual performance in terms of sales. Recently, this year has been the first year of overseas expansion, including the establishment of a global business promotion office directly under the CEO and the establishment of a Malaysian corporation.
