Woongjin (CEO: Suyoung Lee, www.woongjin.com) and Wonik Robotics (CEO: Kyung-seok Jang, www.wonikrobotics.com) announced that they will collaborate on technology development and joint sales and marketing activities in the robot service sector.

 

Wonik Robotics is a specialized robot service company with expertise in robotics research and the hardware and software technologies behind its promotional guide robot, ADDY. ADDY is an AI-powered autonomous robot equipped with voice recognition capabilities and designed to deliver advertising and promotional content.

 

On August 22, 2018, the two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Wonik Robotics’ headquarters to jointly utilize service models and infrastructure. The partnership aims to develop a variety of new service models by combining Wonik Robotics’ robotics expertise with Woongjin’s extensive experience in IT business consulting.

 

In particular, the diverse behavioral and interaction data collected by ADDY will be integrated with Woongjin’s big data visualization technologies to deliver differentiated, customer-tailored marketing services beyond conventional information analysis solutions.

 

Suyoung Lee, CEO of Woongjin, stated, “Through this partnership, Woongjin will actively expand into AI and robot service technology businesses. Going forward, we plan to extend our capabilities into industrial, educational, and exhibition robot markets. Together with Wonik Robotics, we aim to become a leading player in the big data-driven robotics market.”
