Woongjin ThinkBig (CEO: Saebom Yoon, www.wjthinkbig.com) announced the successful migration of all data related to its Woongjin BookClub service to Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud.

The project represents the largest AWS-based cloud migration ever carried out in Korea at the time.

Woongjin BookClub is Woongjin ThinkBig’s flagship service that enables users to utilize digital content for reading and learning through tablet PCs. The platform also offers BookClub AI Learning Coaching, a personalized learning solution that analyzes members’ learning patterns using approximately 11.1 billion big data records to provide customized educational experiences.

Woongjin ThinkBig spent the past two years preparing for the cloud transition of the Woongjin BookClub platform. The migration included transferring 81 instances, 120 services, and approximately 10 terabytes (TB) of data to AWS. On April 19, the company also presented its AWS-based big data implementation case at AWS Summit Seoul, the largest AWS event in Korea.

Through this project, Woongjin has also established itself as a consulting partner with proven expertise in successfully executing large-scale cloud migration projects on AWS.

Sam-rak Choi, Head of IT Development at Woongjin ThinkBig, stated, “Through this AWS cloud migration, Woongjin ThinkBig and Woongjin have taken a major step forward in advancing cloud service transformation across the Woongjin Group. We will continue making every effort to ensure the stable operation of Woongjin BookClub together with Woongjin.”
