| Korea’s first implementation combining NAVER Cloud Platform with SAP S/4HANA

| Woongjin becomes the inaugural enterprise customer of NAVER Cloud Platform

Woongjin Co., Ltd. (CEO: Jaejin Lee, www.woongjin.com) announced that it has become the first company in Korea to operate SAP S/4HANA integrated with NAVER Cloud Platform.

NAVER Cloud Platform is an enterprise cloud service provided by NAVER Business Platform (NBP), the company responsible for operating the IT infrastructure of NAVER affiliates.

Woongjin is currently the only company in Korea to have integrated the global ERP solution SAP S/4HANA and related web services with the domestic cloud infrastructure of NAVER Cloud Platform. The project is particularly significant as it demonstrates that infrastructure cloud services can successfully support performance-sensitive SAP environments.

In addition, NAVER Cloud Platform stated that it had obtained the Cloud Security Assurance Program (CSAP) certification, which enables cloud adoption by Korean public institutions, making it possible for Woongjin to introduce cloud services to public-sector organizations it operates and supports.

On April 1, Woongjin completed the migration from its existing Internet Data Center (IDC) operations to NAVER Cloud Platform services. The migration project, carried out over eight hours, delivered various benefits including reduced operational costs through downsized IDC workforce requirements and enhanced security services provided by NAVER.

Among NAVER Cloud Platform’s various offerings, Woongjin’s cloud migration utilized a Bare Metal server service rather than traditional host-based virtualization. The Bare Metal approach allows hardware and operating systems to be configured identically to existing on-premise servers, making it particularly effective for cloud transition projects requiring high performance and compatibility.

This cloud transition has become an important experience that will enable Woongjin to further expand its cloud business.”
